I'm a music producer, and this is easily one of the happiest and most professionally produced CDs I've run into this decade. Most modern songs are complaints, they come from a position of lack. The Twelve Gifts comes from a position of vibrant health and abundance. Each song is actually a beautiful affirmation on a key positive emotion: Strength; Beauty; Courage; Compassion; Hope; Joy; Talent; Imagination; Reverence; Wisdom; Love; and Faith. And Ms. Wyatt's musical range is astounding--from ballad to pop to smoky cool jazz to boogie-woogie. There is not one song that misses on the 14 songs (including a reprise) on the album--do you know how hard it is to pull that off?The happy songs stick in your mind. They cheer you up when you need it. I play this CD as background to working, or taking a break on Sundays. Two years later I am still listening to it regularly. How many other CDs do you have that can make this claim? The CD is both for adults and for children. It's even better than Sesame Street. Like "America The Beautiful", its simple, clear messages are strong and timeless. It is very difficult to make something this simple and clean that works. Ms. Wyatt has nailed it.This gift immediately goes out to all new mothers that I know, no questions asked. Any new baby needs to be brought up in an atmosphere of love, joy, and strength. I am also using it for wedding gifts. This CD deserves six stars. There is a reason why every reviewer is coming in with five stars across the board--the music is really that good. After you hear the samples my guess is you'll want to buy one to bless all of your friends, too.
